Project Overview
Greenbrier Valley EDC is soliciting proposals from qualified companies to provide snow removal and salting services for a mixed-use industrial/office complex located at the above address in Maxwelton, WV. The property includes:
- Seneca Parking Lot – Large lot, primary priority
- Brewery Parking Lot – Smaller lot, secondary priority
Scope of Services
1. Snow Removal
- Services to begin when snowfall reaches 2 inches or more
- Seneca Lot (Primary):
- Clear drive lanes, parking spaces, and entrances
- Snow to be piled in designated areas that do not obstruct traffic or drainage
- Brewery Lot (Secondary):
- Clear drive lanes and parking spaces after Seneca lot is completed
- Maintain safe access to building entrances and emergency exits
2. Salting & Ice Management
- Apply salt or approved de-icing material:
- After each snow removal service
- During icy conditions or freezing rain
Service Expectations
- Standard Response Time: Within 2 hours of snowfall reaching trigger depth
- Emergency Services: Available upon request
- Communication: Notify (text) GVEDC after each service
Contractor Requirements
- Provide all necessary equipment and materials
- Staff must be trained, insured, and available for early morning or overnight operations
- Must comply with all local, state, and federal safety regulations
- Must provide certificate of insurance for general liability, workers’ compensation (if applicable), and W-9.
Proposal Requirements
Please include the following in your submission:
- Per-event pricing for snow removal and salting, and per-event pricing for salting only.
- Any additional charges (e.g., emergency call-outs, equipment rental, etc.)
- Proof of insurance
- References from similar projects (if available)
