In addition to supporting local businesses, New River CTC is committed to community upliftment through workforce development initiatives. The college has partnered with the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM) and their Center for Rural and Community Health to provide classes for individuals transitioning back into the workforce. These classes focus on essential skills such as leadership, organization, critical thinking, and time management, preparing participants for successful reintegration into the workforce.
