It’s an exciting time at Snowshoe Mountain, with several major projects and events on the horizon.
Construction is officially underway on our brand-new skier services building, the Shavers Center, located at the end of Snowshoe Village. The lower level will serve as the hub for all Ski School operations, while the main level will feature a variety of food and beverage options with seating for roughly 300 guests. A spacious slope-side deck will offer even more room to relax, and gorgeous views will create the perfect gathering space for friends and family. Ticketing and activity sales will also be conveniently located near the main entrance.

The new Shavers Center is designed to host large groups, with bookings already underway beginning July 2026. We anticipate opening the facility in mid-December, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to follow. Stay tuned for the official date—we’d love for you to be part of the celebration.
We’re also excited to share that the Shavers Center is already attracting major events. In partnership with the Greenbrier Valley EDC, we’ll be welcoming the WV Economic Development Council’s Fall Conference to Snowshoe next year.

Innovation is also taking flight at Snowshoe. In partnership with Electra Aero, we are developing a landing and takeoff strip for testing a new hybrid short takeoff and landing plane. The goal is sustainable, affordable, and efficient transportation between Snowshoe and regional population centers.
Sustainability remains at the forefront of our efforts as well. This summer, Snowshoe completed construction of a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). We’re finalizing a plan with Circular Solutions to launch a comprehensive recycling program for on-mountain materials. Testing of the MRF will begin this summer, with the goal of being fully operational for the upcoming winter season.
Of course, there’s still plenty to enjoy right now. Summer operations run through October 12th, offering mountain biking, golf, adventure tours, paddling on the lake, lodging, shopping, and dining every Thursday through Sunday.
And finally—mark your calendars. Snowshoe Mountain’s official winter opening day is set for November 26*. We can’t wait to welcome you back to the slopes!
